Italian restaurant group Carluccio’s has turned to the online reservation solution from liveRES to manage its online bookings.
The latest leading high street brand to sign up means that more than 500 individual outlets have started taking online bookings through liveRES since April.
Existing restaurant and pub customers include Spirit Pub Company, Living Ventures, JW Lees, TCG, Gusto Restaurants, Chef and Brewer, Fayre and Square, Brasserie Blanc, Ego Restaurants, Black House Restaurants and Peach Pub Company.
Taking over responsibility for online bookings across all 68 Carluccio’s restaurants, the new system also enables the chain to target promotions and offers to its expanding 400,000-plus customers registered to receive email updates and event information.
Operations director Sarah Murray, said: “Registered customers are part of the Carluccio’s ‘family’, and are enthusiastic ambassadors for the brand. Like many growing families, as the business expands both geographically and in terms of outlet numbers, email and online communications has become an important way of staying in touch.
“As we expand, with up to 10 more outlets scheduled to open over the next year, it’s also important that we keep our bookings strategy consistent across the business, and the head office controls which liveRES delivers enables us to do that effectively.”
Julie Featherstone, liveRES Director of Sales, said: “Carluccio’s is one of the highest profile and best loved restaurant brands in the UK, and so we’re delighted the business is realising the benefits of managing its customer bookings through us.
“We’ve seen a strong expansion in pub and restaurant groups working with us since the start of the current financial year in April. Increasingly, we’re finding that the flexibility and direct control that the system offers gives it a strong appeal to large and expanding foodservice businesses.”
